Club Football I started playing for my first football club, Fleckney Athletic. This was an all-boys team with me being the only girl. During these years, I also trained with the Leicester City Ladies Centre of Excellence and joined Leicester City Ladies F.C. This is where my goalkeeping journey began. At the age of 19, I relocated to Brighton and started playing for Rottingdean F.C. Since moving to Brighton I have concentrated on my coaching career but still play for Whitehawk Ladies FC
Coaching I started coaching at the age of 15, I was able to learn some key skills to make football accessible for all and completed the coaching disabled footballer’s course and my level one coaching badge. I was keen to get more involved, so applied for my Level 2 Coaching badge and completed it through the Leicester School FA coaching scheme.
I have coached and assisted different teams including Rottingdean girls U15’s, Hollingbury Hawks and Mile Oak clubs. I have also enjoyed playing other sports such as Gaelic Football and Aussie Rules, the latter of which has given me the opportunity to represent England and Great Britain in European Aussie Rules competitions.
Inspiration amazing lady called Mary Rudkin who helped me into this career.
Sport has played a huge part in my life and I am motivated to give back and to share the positive benefits that sports has given to me. I have a passion to deliver good quality sessions and am always looking to gain more experience and knowledge to enhance my coaching skills. I’m excited for what the future has in store for girls and women’s football and I’m looking forward to being part of that journey.
